Sasha Grundfast

Sasha Grundfast is an Assistant Professor of Instruction in the Department of Social Work at 天堂鸟先生. She teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in social work practice, policy, and assessment, focusing on rural communities. She has also contributed to curriculum development, designing online master鈥檚 courses that emphasize social work in rural settings and community-based interventions.
With over a decade of direct practice experience, Sasha has worked as an emergency department social worker, a correctional social worker, and a child welfare professional. Her research and professional interests include expanding the behavioral health workforce, community-driven solutions to the opioid crisis, and social justice advocacy. As a principal investigator, she has secured significant federal funding to support workforce development initiatives through the U.S. Departments of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration.
