Join us July 18 to 20 for Back on the Bricks, an immersive on-campus experience created to bring Bobcats together for a weekend of celebration, connection, and nostalgia. Did we mention it鈥檚 happening during Brew Week too? From guided tours and casual social events to recreational activities and new campus highlights, this is your chance to relive your OHIO days and make new memories.
Stay on Campus: Make It a True Bobcat Getaway
There鈥檚 no better way to immerse yourself in the Back on the Bricks experience than by staying right on campus. Choose to stay in a modern suite-style residence hall鈥攋ust steps away from many weekend events. Each suite includes two private rooms joined by a shared bathroom, making it perfect for solo guests or roommates looking to relive the residence hall experience with extra comfort.
Staying on campus means more time to reconnect, explore, and enjoy every moment without having to travel back and forth. Whether you鈥檙e up early for golf, enjoying all that has to offer, winding down from the reception at Jackie O鈥檚, or just enjoying the walkable charm of Athens, your home base will be right where the action is.

Back on the Bricks is all about celebrating your time at OHIO your way. During registration you鈥檒l have the opportunity to personalize your experience with a variety of optional activities that let you reconnect, explore, and have fun at your own pace. Whether you鈥檙e looking for adventure, relaxation, or a walk down memory lane, there鈥檚 something for everyone.
Build a weekend that鈥檚 as active or laid-back as you like. Mingle with fellow alumni at a local favorite, play a round of golf, or revisit your favorite campus spots on a guided tour. Every activity is designed to help you reconnect with your Bobcat roots and create meaningful new memories.
Choose as many (or as few) as you鈥檇 like鈥攋ust be sure to reserve your spots when registering, as some events have limited capacity.

Jackie O's BrewPub Reception with OUAA

Join us for a lively evening at Jackie O鈥檚 Brewpub, hosted by the 天堂鸟先生 Alumni Association! This reception is the perfect chance to reconnect, reminisce, and relax with fellow Bobcats in one of Athens鈥 most iconic spots. Your registration includes tasty appetizers, drink tickets, and some exclusive OHIO swag鈥攂ecause no Bobcat gathering is complete without a little green and white pride. Cheers to good friends, great memories, and a night to remember!
This event is $30 per person and there is a limit of 50 available spaces for the event.
Copperheads Game

Spend your Friday night under the lights cheering on the hometown team, the Southern Ohio Copperheads versus the Michigan Monarchs! Grab a seat, a hot dog, and soak up the summer vibes at this fun, family-friendly game right here in Athens. It鈥檚 the perfect way to unwind after a day of activities, reconnect with fellow Bobcats, and root-root-root for the home team!
This event is free and there is a limit of 50 available tickets for the event.

Round of Golf

Whether you're chasing birdies or just hoping to avoid the dreaded double bogey, join us for a round at the scenic on-campus Golf and Tennis Center. For just $35, you'll enjoy 18 holes of play and a golf cart鈥攏o hoofing it between shots! Bring your own clubs, grab your favorite foursome (or fly solo), and hit the fairways for some quality time under the sun. It鈥檚 the perfect way to work on your short game, sink a few putts, and maybe even brag a little at the 19th hole.
Pickleball Open Play

Calling all picklers! Join us for open play pickleball at the Golf and Tennis Center鈥攚here the kitchen鈥檚 always hot and the dinks are deadly. For just $12 per person, you鈥檒l get access to the courts for some fun friendly matches. We鈥檒l have a few paddles and balls available, but players are encouraged to bring their own gear. Whether you鈥檙e dropping shots in the kitchen or smashing overheads, it鈥檚 the perfect chance to rally with fellow fans of the fastest-growing sport around!
Campus Tour

Take a guided stroll through campus and relive your Bobcat days! We鈥檒l swing by your old residence hall (or where it once stood!), check out McDavis Hall鈥攁 brand-new 591-bed residence hall currently under construction and set to open in August 2026鈥攁nd explore fresh additions like Paw Print Park on South Green, The East End on East Green, The Den on West Green, and more. It鈥檚 the perfect blend of nostalgia and new beginnings, and a great way to reconnect with your old home.

Brunch

Wrap up your weekend with a relaxed and delicious Sunday brunch! Join fellow Bobcats for one last gathering filled with great food, good company, and plenty of memories. It鈥檚 the perfect way to say 鈥渟ee you later鈥 before heading home鈥攃omplete with comfort food, coffee, and a final round of Bobcat bonding. Don鈥檛 miss this laid-back send-off to an unforgettable weekend!
Costs & Registration Details
Ready to plan your perfect Bobcat weekend? Below you'll find a full breakdown of costs for housing, parking, and all optional activities. You can mix and match to create the experience that fits your interests and schedule. Some events have limited capacity, so we encourage early registration to secure your spot. All selections and payments will be made through the registration link.
Housing
Rate is per room, regardless of single or double occupancy. You can request adjoining rooms and must list all guests staying per room on the registration page.
- July 17: $60 per room
- July 18: $110 per room
- July 19: $110 per room
- July 20: $60 per room
Check in Thursday, July 17 through Saturday, July 19 will be 3-6 p.m. Check out on Sunday, July 20 or Monday, July 21 will be from 12-2 p.m.

Please indicate how many permits you need during registration.

- July 21: $5 (if staying past 7:30 a.m.)
