Turnitin Chosen as OHIO's Plagiarism Detection Tool
ÌìÌÃÄñÏÈÉú has selected Turnitin as its official plagiarism detection solution following a comprehensive evaluation of teaching and learning technologies.
Led by the Office of Information Technology (OIT), this Request for Proposal (RFP) process reviewed the evolving needs of our academic programs, faculty, and students. With OHIO’s transition to Canvas and a changing technology landscape, the review reaffirmed Turnitin as the best fit to support academic integrity across the University. To learn more about the Committee's process in evaluating and recommending Turnitin, please read the completed in fall 2024.

Vendor Demonstrations
Finalists from the RFP bid were invited to provide demonstrations to the University community. Vendor representatives provided an overview of their platform and key features of the student and instructor experience on October 15-16, 2024.

In late May 2024, the Plagiarism Detection Evaluation Survey was distributed to gather feedback, ideas, and needs from ÌìÌÃÄñÏÈÉú’s faculty and students regarding plagiarism detection software. Plagiarism Detection Tool RFP Committee
