East Green Parking and Construction Impacts

July 30, 2025

Effective Sunday, August3, 2025, at 11PM parking in portions of Lots 40, 41, and 44 located near Patton Hall and Lower Seigfred Hall, will be impacted as construction begins on the new Violet L. Patton Center for Arts Education.

This project marks an exciting investment for our campus and academic mission. To support construction activities and maintain a safe work zone, parking access in the surrounding area will be temporarily adjusted for the duration of the project.

Please review the important information below regarding parking changes on East Green and the resources available to support during this period.

What to Expect

  • Portions of Lots 40, 41, and 44 will be partially closed beginning Sunday, August 3, 2025, at 11PM as identified in the visual provided below.
  • Construction is expected to continue for approximately 18 months. AS the project progresses, parking impacts will be evaluated and minimized where feasible, with safety remaining a top priority.
  • Pedestrian routes and ADA-accessible pathways will remain available, with signage posted throughout the area.
  • ADA-accessible parking will be temporarily relocated and remain available for use in Lot 44 throughout the construction period.
