Prevention Conference Call For Proposals

We invite you to submit a proposal to present at the annual Rooted in Wellness: Holistic Approaches to Prevention in Southern Ohio conference. This exciting, thought-provoking event will bring together local and state experts, community leaders and advocates who are passionate about empowering the next generation. We seek proposals for innovative, holistic strategies aimed at promoting resilience in youth, preventing future challenges and addressing the unique needs of vulnerable populations.

Conference Theme

The conference will focus on exploring a broad range of holistic approaches to prevention, with a particular emphasis on the resilience of youth who may face higher risks — such as LGBTQ youth, those who have experienced abuse or neglect, and other at-risk groups. Together, we’ll share evidence-based practices, community-driven solutions, and creative ideas that support youth in navigating and overcoming challenges.

Please note: This theme was from the 2025 conference. Please check back in 2026 for updated conference information.

Topics

  • Holistic approaches to youth mental health and wellness
  • Building resilience through community and peer support
  • Culturally responsive strategies for supporting vulnerable youth
  • Addressing trauma and promoting healing in at-risk populations
  • Innovations in youth empowerment and prevention education
  • Strategies for supporting LGBTQ+ youth, youth experiencing abuse or neglect, and other marginalized groups

How To Submit a Proposal

We are looking for dynamic, engaging presentations that offer practical tools, actionable strategies, and insights to help attendees implement these approaches in their own work. Sessions are 90 minutes long and should be designed to engage participants through discussion, reflection and sharing of best practices. We also encourage interactive workshops, panel discussions and community-centered conversations.

We are no longer accepting proposals. Please check back next spring to submit a proposal for the 2026 conference.
