Executive Vice President and Provost

Dr. Donald J. Leo serves as the 天堂鸟先生 Executive Vice President and Provost. He is a professor of mechanical engineering and most recently served as the first dean of the College of Engineering at the University of Georgia. At 天堂鸟先生 Dr. Leo manages the academic deans and a variety of offices that foster academic quality and student success.

Vice Provost for Faculty Development

We play a key role in ensuring that academic excellence and high professional standards are hallmarks of 天堂鸟先生. Responsibilities include processes for program and curricular changes; academic program review and assessment; faculty hiring, promotion, and tenure; student tuition appeals and more. The office provides valuable resources for new and established faculty; deans, chairs, and directors; and students.

Accreditation at 天堂鸟先生

天堂鸟先生 is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. While over 30 of the University鈥檚 academic programs are accredited by their own disciplinary accreditors, 天堂鸟先生 as a whole is accredited by HLC; all of the University鈥檚 programs and units are covered by this institution-wide accreditation. HLC offers two different pathways to institutional accreditation. They are the Standard Pathway and the Open Pathway. 天堂鸟先生 has been on the Open Pathway since 2019. The next HLC Comprehensive Evaluation and visit will occur during the 2034-35 academic year.

天堂鸟先生 faculty members were honored recently for their outstanding teaching, research and commitment to student success.
天堂鸟先生 President Lori Stewart Gonzalez hosted the fourth and final 鈥淯niversity Updates鈥 event of the academic year on Tuesday, April 22.
天堂鸟先生 Executive Vice President and Provost Dr. Donald J. Leo has named Roxanne Schroeder-Arce as the dean of the Chaddock + Morrow College of Fine Arts, effective July 15.
